Collective Agreement Chemical Industry

Agreements covering an entire industry are rare, but we hope that they will be more frequent in the future, as they strengthen workers` rights. Salaries for the first year of employment are agreed at their discretion. For the second year of employment, the annual minimum wage wage is set for the calendar year 2019: in the new agreement, IndustriALL`s two Spanish subsidiaries managed to get employers to withdraw plans to extend working hours, remove bonuses in terms of career duration and apply a lower minimum wage increase. The only cases where the Executive Collective Agreement for Executives (LA) does not apply are when the terms agreed in the individual contracts meet at least in all respects the terms of the framework collective agreement. The main features of the distinction are very long notice periods and claims for compensation, which are paid well above average in the event of post-contractual non-competition in favour of the employer. IndustriALL assistant general secretary Kemal Özkan congratulates the two Spanish member organisations and welcomes the two sectoral agreements: the social partnership agreements have also proven to be an effective instrument on issues that concern not only the VAA and the APC, but also the Industrial Union of Mining, Chemicals, Energy (IG BCE) as social partners. For this purpose, a trilateral agreement was drawn up defining the principles that define employment in management positions in the chemical industry. 25 June, 2015 After sectoral negotiations in the German chemical industry earlier this year, IndustriALL Global Union member organisations in Belgium and Spain have concluded collective agreements for the chemical sector with significant success. In Belgium, IndustriALL`s subsidiaries, CSC BIE and CG-FGTB, have reached a one-year agreement covering about 100,000 workers, which involves wage increases, early retirement, training and a demographic fund. The VAA concludes a collective agreement for beginners with the Bundesarbeitgeberverband Chemie (BAVC). The amount of the annual salary for the second year of employment is regulated. After the second year of employment, employees` salaries must be reviewed periodically according to the company`s practice and will continue to increase according to activity and performance compared to the annual conventional minimums. In the era of globalization and demographic change, the general climate is increasingly rapid for executives, including executives in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

Since 1992, the VAA has concluded social partnership agreements with the Federal Association of Chemical Employers (BAVC) to adapt to new developments in working life. Effective collective agreements are an important aspect of social partnership in Germany, as these agreements set minimum standards for working conditions and remuneration. The chemical and pharmaceutical industry has a long tradition of pluralistic wage policy characterised by constructive and trusting cooperation between the social partners. As a trade union, the VAA has concluded a framework collective agreement with its social partners. This Agreement shall apply to graduates with degrees in scientific and technical disciplines. Although they are still waiting for permission, IndustriALL`s Spanish subsidiary, Industria de CC.OO, is waiting. and FITAG – The UGT recently concluded a three-year collective agreement for 200,000 employees. In addition to setting wage increases, the collective agreement contains a clause guaranteeing workers` purchasing power, an updated equality clause, a policy statement to promote CSR and the obligation to ensure that training in the workplace is given higher priority.. . . .
